Nicholls Electrical & Building Services Ltd (NEBS) is a family-run business based in Kirkham, providing professional electrical installations, maintenance, and refurbishment services across Preston, the Fylde Coast, and surrounding areas. Run by husband-and-wife team Dave and Michelle Nicholls, our business is built on a simple principle: quality workmanship, honest advice, and a reliable, personal service from start to finish.
From additional sockets and lighting alterations to consumer unit upgrades and complete rewires, we bring the same level of care and professionalism to every job, regardless of its size. As an NICEIC-registered business, we work to the highest standards.

Expert Electrical & Project Coordination
Whether you need a new socket, a full house rewire, or your looking to refurbish a residential or commercial property, in part or in full. We bring years of experience from a background in construction and managing small – large projects through to completion.
We continue to bring exceptional standards to everyday electrical work, and we take the same approach to buildings and the building regulations.
Electrical Installations: New circuits, sockets, lighting design and smart controls for homes and small commercial spaces.
Renovations & Extensions: Whole-home improvements managed end to end, from first fix to final decoration.
Rewires and Consumer Units: Full and partial rewires plus fuse board upgrades to the latest regulations, with minimal disruption.

How does your quoting and booking process work?
Dave will visit your property in person to assess the space and discuss exactly what you need free of charge. We then send over a full, transparent quotation broken down by element. If you are happy to proceed, Michelle will get you booked into the diary. If we uncover anything completely unexpected during the work (like hidden wiring faults from a previous owner), Dave will stop, show you the issue, and discuss the options and costs before moving forward. No surprises, no hidden fees.

What size electrical jobs do you take on?
No job is too small - whether you literally just need help safely changing a hard-to-reach light bulb or replacing a switch, we’re here to help. At the other end of the scale, we also take on larger commercial and domestic installations, subject to scheduling and realistic timeframes.

Do you just do the electrics, or do you manage the whole renovation?
No, we take on full scope projects. For example, Dave has been involved in and managed a range of projects across the country ranging from small scale dental surgery refurbishments to buildings going through a material change of use with multiple structural changes and full refurbishment.

Are you fully certified and insured?
Yes we are registered with NICEIC and carry Public Liability insurance. If you would like to know more about our level of cover, please get in touch.

Which areas do you cover?
While our home base is in Kirkham, Preston, we regularly take on jobs across the North West. If you're slightly outside this area, drop us a message anyway - we are more than happy to travel to you.

How soon can you start?
Lead times vary depending on the size of the project and our current schedule. However, we promise never to overcommit - we will only take on your project if we have the true capacity to deliver it on time.
